• FinESS™ Procedure (Watch Video Here)
When sinusitis lasts 12 weeks or longer, it is called Chronic Rhinosinusitis (CRS). CRS is typically first treated with medication, including antibiotics or topical nasal steroid sprays. When patients do not respond to medications, they may be a candidate for traditional sinus surgery (Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery or FESS).
A FESS procedure is performed under general anesthesia and may result in significant post-operative pain and bleeding. Recovery time is normally several days but discomfort can last much longer.
New Less Invasive Option
FinESS™ Sinus Treatment is a unique approach for treating sinusitis that is a less invasive option for physicians and their patients. It’s a simple endoscopic procedure that can be performed under local anesthesia and opens/reshapes the sinuses behind the cheek bones and between the eyes.
Unlike sinus surgery techniques, FinESS™ does not require the removal of delicate bone or sinus tissue. The short procedure results in very little pain or bleeding. Patients may receive only mild sedation and recovery time is usually 1-2 days with many patients resuming normal activity within hours.
Welcome Relief for Patients
Because FinESS™ Sinus Treatment widens and reshapes the passages leading to blocked sinuses, the procedure offers patients welcome relief from the problems associated with Chronic Sinusitis. And because FinESS™ is far less invasive than traditional sinus surgery, patients are relieved to know they don’t have to worry about pain, bleeding or a long recovery.

Direct, Simple and Effective for Physicians
FinESS™ is a direct, simple, and effective procedure performed with familiar tools – a small balloon catheter and a micro endoscope for visualization. Over 95% of BREATHE I clinical study subjects were treated under local anesthesia and discharged in less than two hours.
